Goldenberries are succulent, marble-size golden fruits. Also known as cape gooseberry and agauaymanto berry, the goldenberry is native to Colombia and Peru, and can be found growing in warm climates on many continents, including Africa, Asia, and the Americas. Tart and delicious, goldenberries are high in phosphorous, calcium, and vitamins A, C, B1, B2, B6 and B12. For a fruit, they are also extremely high in protein (16%). Goldenberries promote digestion, Goldenberries help control diabetes, cleans the blood and aids in the treatment of the prostate gland.
